Training
All new operatives whether new to the industry or not are familiarised with the Health & Safety Guidelines relevant to the equipment and materials that they may or will use. Operatives then embark on a months probationary period under the jurisdiction of an on site supervisor, who will ensure that they are able to perform all tasks required of them to a high standard and that they pay attention to detail. In cases of recruitment in large quantities, we may call upon our small team of mobile 'troubleshooters' to assist with training in the short term. Operatives are updated on new equipment and materials as they are introduced and product safety data sheets are freely available. Window cleaners involved in cradle work are Kobi trained and certified and all window cleaners are fully conversant with Health & Safety Regulations with particular reference to ladders, safety eyebolts etc.
Supervisors are generally promoted from within our existing workforce and as such are well aware of the methods, equipment and materials that we use and the standards we require. Persons employed in a supervisory capacity have to demonstrate an ability to be responsive to clients needs, adaptable and resourceful to resolve any difficulties arising. The contact at this level between the management and the workforce ensures invaluable communication and maintains a high level of staff loyalty and so enhances the overall performance of the workforce.
